Thurston at the State Fair of Texas 1936

1938 was the Texas Centennial, and at the State Fair special buildings were set up to observe the anniversary of Texas Independence. Most of those buildings are still standing today.  The architecture and murals are very much in the style of the 1930's era.

This photo was made at the State Fair of Texas in 1936.  Thurston was there and wrote his mother a short letter from there. He may have sent her this photo, but I believe he sent it to my mother Ann.
